KATHLEEN J. PAUL WISNOUSKY
Cedar Rapids
Kathleen J. Paul Wisnousky, 71, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids after a long battle with illness. Beside her and holding her hands were members of her family. According to her wishes, a family graveside service will be held for her burial beside her mother, Josephine, and Harry Hendrix.
She graduated from Jefferson High School and from Kirkwood Community College. For 38 years, she worked as a Linn County home health care aide. She was a selfless and loving person for whom family came first.
She leaves behind a son and two daughters, Christopher Wisnousky, Stacey Wisnousky and Michelle Johnson (Nate). The two loves of her life were her grandchildren, Alexandra Johnson and Mason Johnson.
Also surviving are her beloved sister, Sally Gudenkauf (Ray); and loving brother, Doug Havlik (Millie); nephews, Bernie Erenberger (Beth), Joel Erenberger (Suzanne), Gary Erenberger (Linda) and Larry Erenberger (Carol) and Brett Havlik (Elma); and her niece, Teresa Stolba.
She was born in December 1946 in Mercy Medical Center to Josephine R. Sturm and James Jerome Daniel Paul. She was a loving, caring mother who said she completed her lifelong goal, to care for her children and raise them to be able to stand when she could no longer hold their hands. No children could love their mother more.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels in Kathleen's honor.
Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.cedarmemorial.com under Obituaries.
