Zehra Kenjar, 91, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at St. Luke's Living Center East. A visitation will be Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Graveside services will be private.
Zehra is survived by her sons, Jeff (Laurie) of New Mexico and John (Kaila) of Ames; stepson, Raif (Ismeta) of Cedar Rapids; and stepdaughters, Vasvija Heder of Cedar Rapids and Raifa Keric of St. Louis, Mo. Also surviving are loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 52 years, Arif.
Zehra was born May 15, 1924, in Bosnia, and came to the United States in 1951, moving to Eagle Grove and settling in Cedar Rapids in 1952. She was always pleased to settle in Iowa and proudly became a United States Citizen in 1956.
Zehra was a longtime employee of Wilson Foods. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and live music.
