Gilmore, Pauline E.
Pauline E. Gilmore, 94, of 738 31st St. SE, died Friday, May 25, 2012, in her home. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday. Pastor Bill Reirden will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a nephew, Sam (Sharon) Blackford of Cedar Rapids; a niece, Judy Randall of Hiawatha; two great-nieces, Suzanne Blackford and Lisa Egan; four great-nephews, Tom and Matt Blackford and Scott and Jeff McMains; one great-great-niece, Carly; and one great-great-nephew, Golyfe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Raymond (Arlene) Blackford and Gerald Blackford.
Pauline was born Nov. 18, 1917, in Marion, the daughter of Harry and Josephine Atwater Blackford. She married Vernon F. Gilmore on June 12, 1937, in Marion. He died in 1971. She could not physically volunteer but had a giving heart and financially supported many charities.
Pauline's family would like to thank Pam as well as other friends and neighbors for helping Pauline to live out her life in her home.
