Suffering is inflicted on the defenseless

It is appalling to watch what is happening at the border and hear Jeff Sessions quote Scripture to defend the depravity of separating children from their mothers.
These families are escaping extreme violence; to further abuse them not only is morally corrupt, but totally unchristian. I could quote hundreds of Bible passages to contradict Sessions.
Children have not been systematically separated from their mothers since the Holocaust. We now will go down in the annals of history as the nation that lost its position on the world stage for protecting human rights by inflicting pain and suffering on those who are most defenseless.
These are sad and dark times, and I am pleading for you to speak out against this policy that is not law no matter how many times President Donald Trump says it is.
