I understand that the suicide rate is climbing, and I am happy that so many are sharing the phone number to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (800-273-8255), but I wonder …
Where were these same folks when my brother chose not to live any longer?
Suicide has been with us forever, and just because well known people such as Robin Williams, Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain chose not to live any longer, everyone seems to be jumping on the suicide-prevention bandwagon.
Where were those same folks when my brother was hurting?
