Andrews, Margaret 'Maggie' L.
Margaret “Maggie” L. Andrews, 74, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at Living Center East. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her daughter, Lori Andrews of Marion; granddaughter, Andrea Schneider, who she enjoyed spending time with; stepchildren, Stanley Strickler of Fairfax, Garry Strickler of Juneau, Alaska, William (Marla) Andrews of Arkansas, David Andrews of Montrose and Dennis (Roxanne) Hoover of Lisbon; niece, Becky (Mike) Robinson; nephews, Mike (Irma) Cottrell, Rick (Lisa) Cottrell of Shellsburg; and a brother-in-law, Roger Knott of Florida.
She was preceded in death by parents; son, Bruce Strickler; and her best friend, Andy Andrews.
Maggie was born Feb. 26, 1937, in Cainsville, Mo., to Edward and Hazel Cottrell. She worked at Rockwell Collins for over 35 years, retiring in 1992.
She was a member of Lovely Lane United Methodist Church and a volunteer for Hospice of Mercy, Greene Square Meals, Theatre Cedar Rapids, and the Paramount.
