Englert, Kathleen 'Kay'
Kathleen ‘Kay” Englert, 83, of Iowa City, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Brierwood Health Care Center. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Phillips officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lensing Funeral and Cremation, Iowa City, and then process to the cemetery.
Kay was born May 10, 1928, in Iowa City, the daughter of Phil and Edna Rummelhart Englert.
Kay lived in California for many years, where she was employed by United Airlines. She returned to Iowa City in her later years to care for her mother.
Survivors include her brother, John (Jackie) Englert of Elmhurst, Ill.; her nephew, Mark (Mila); her niece, Amy; and great-niece and nephew, Brian and Olivia.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents.
