Peterson, Barton C.

Barton C. Peterson, 57, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, July 5, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Inurnment: Campbell Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, at a later date.

Survivors include his mother, Ivadell Peterson of Cedar Rapids; children, Todd Peterson and Chelsea Jacobson, both of Cedar Rapids; sister, Diane (Harry) Anagnostopoulos of Las Vegas, Nev.; good friends, Jodie Dutton and Kelly Settles, both of Cedar Rapids; and several other close friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Peterson.

Barton was born Dec. 14 1954, son of Clayton and Ivadell Peterson. Barton graduated from Washington High School. He worked for Mr. Bubbles, a semi detailing company, for many years. Barton was a member of the Cedar Hills Community Church in Cedar Rapids.

He was an avid sports fan; his teams were the Cubs and Saints. Barton played bass guitar for several bands in Cedar Rapids and surrounding area. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his friends and family.
