Goede, John C.
John C. Goede, 60, of Hiawatha and formerly of Oelwein died suddenly on Wednesday morning, Dec. 16, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Services: 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein. Officiating: Rev. Charis Combs-Lay. Visitation: 11:30 a.m. to service time at the funeral home on Monday.
Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery at Oelwein, Iowa.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.

John is survived by: one sister, four brothers, four nieces and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and a Sister
John Chilton Goede was born on April 16, 1949 in Iowa City, the son of Chilton Cecil and Lorna Mae (Shafer) Goede. He graduated from Oelwein Community High School in 1967 and received a B.A. in 1971 from the College of Business Administration at the University of Iowa. John was a comptroller for RuffaloCODY in Cedar Rapids. He was a former member of Christ United Presbyterian Church in Oelwein.
