Ogden, Dorothy Corine

Dorothy Corine Ogden, 78, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, in her home following a short battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at River of Life Ministries. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Marengo.

Surviving are her children, Sherry (Michael) Fuchs of Cedar Rapids, Terri (Jim) Rowray of Shepherdsville, Ky., Mike (Debbie) Ogden of St. Robert, Mo., and Kirk (Tammy) Ogden of Cedar Rapids; her sister and best friend, Thelma “Skip” Donohoe of Cedar Rapids; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles “Mustard” Ogden; her grandson, Christopher Rowray; and her brother, Fred Share.

Dorothy Corine Ogden was born on May 5, 1934, in Marengo, the daughter of Rutherford F. and Dorothy M. (Bauer) Share. She was united in marriage to Charles W. Ogden in 1953 in Marengo. Charles preceded her in death in 1983.

She worked at Square D for many years and most recently worked for the Cedar Rapids Gazette. She was a member of the Eagles and Moose Clubs and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed the Iowa Hawkeyes and her dog Vegas. She delighted most in her family and loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She will be greatly missed.
