The Iowa Barnstormers of the Arena Football League had a pretty fair quarterback once upon a time. His name was Kurt Warner. He threw a lot of touchdown passes.
But in his third game with the Stormers, former Iowa Hawkeyes quarterback Brad Banks claimed the franchise record for TD tosses in a game with 10. in Iowa's 76-69 win over the San Jose SaberCats in San Jose.
The team's other score came on a 7-yard run with 50 seconds left in the game for the deciding score.
Ex-Iowa State receiver Todd Blythe had four touchdown catches for the Barnstormers, giving him 11 in three games.
It was the Barnstormers' highest-scoring game in two years. They are 2-1. Their next game is at home in Des Moines against the Kansas City Command.
