Roundup: Kennedy boys pull off upset, Springville girls top Alburnett

Paced by a 14-for-17 effort at the free-throw line, C.R. Kennedy's Brendon Manning scored a team-high 25 points, pulled down eight rebounds and had six assists as Cedar Rapids Kennedy upset No. 8 Dubuque Hempstead, 83-76, last night in Dubuque.

Cole Murdock added 19 points and seven assists, while Bryton Heisler had 18 points.

MARION 52, VINTON-SHELLSBURG 32 - Jacob Manderscheid scored 11 points to lead all players as the Indians (5-2, 3-1 WAMAC) beat the Vikings at Marion. Devin Quinn had 10 points while Derek Smith finished with nine points.

CEDAR FALLS 68, IOWA CITY HIGH 63 - Micah Martin had a double-double to lead City High (1-3) with 15 points and 10 rebounds in Iowa City. Emmanual Hooper added 11 points.

CALAMUS-WHEATLAND 75, CEDAR VALLEY CHRISTIAN 47 - Cole Moeller scored 28 and Brett Kelting 18 as the Warriors (3-5, 2-2 Tri Rivers) won in Springville.

Mike Scroggs led the Huskies (0-6, 0-3) with 20 points while Tom Scroggs grabbed 12 rebounds.
