Strickel, Anna L.
Anna L. Strickel, 62, of LaBelle, Mo., formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away suddenly Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, from complications of quadruple heart bypass surgery.
Anna was born Oct. 27, 1949, to Oliver and Ilene (Workman) Cox of Toddville, Iowa. She graduated from Alburnett High School in 1967. She married Timothy Strickel, they were together for 43 years.
Anna is survived by her husband, Timothy Strickel of LaBelle;and children, Dwayne (Carrie) of New Sharon, Jeffrey of Milwaukee, Wis. and Crystal (Donny) Dunton of LaBelle.
She is also survived by three sisters, Jean Wingerson andLela (Dale) Wingerson of Cedar Rapids and Lonna (Jim) Krauel of Robins; one brother, Frank CoxSr. of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Austin and Lydia Strickel of New Sharon, Aaron Winebrenner of Cedar Rapids, Heather Strickel of Cedar Rapids, and Echo and Breeze Dunton of LaBelle; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews as well.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Ilene Cox; and two brothers, Larry and Lonnie Cox.
Anna had worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken, Loftus Distributing, Norand and CRST.
Anna loved being with her grandchildren and doing things with ALL of them as much as possible. She enjoyed gardening, going to flea markets and garage sales. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Anna's request was to be cremated.
