Anna Bernice George, 81, died Sunday, May 11, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospice in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at Cedar Memorial. Certified Celebrant Julie Freese will officiate at the service. Private family burial will be at a later date at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Thoughts, memories, and condolences may be left at www.

Surviving is her son, David George of Cedar Rapids; and granddaughter, Amy George of Iowa City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Leo Zach.
Anna Bernice George was born Nov. 19, 1932, in Cedar Rapids. She was the daughter of William and Millie Courtney Zach. Anna was an avid Cedar Rapids Kernels fan and a booster member. She enjoyed spending her time doing outdoor activities.
