Postal Service needs to make improvements

I am at my wits end with the local Postal Service. We used to think it was bad when our mail didn't arrive until
5 p.m., but since more new homes have been built in the Jerry's Homes addition north of Wilson Avenue SW, our mail hasn't been coming until after 7 p.m. When they finish the Section 8 apartments just north of Wilson, it will probably push our mail delivery back another two hours.
I don't mind so much in the summer when it is still light, but last winter we were getting our mail when it was dark.
This is plain insane. The Post Office tells us it doesn't have the help. Well, duh, hire more people; there are plenty of people looking for a good steady job. Then we are told they can't hire because they aren't making any money now. Well, maybe it's time the mail goes private, like with Fed Ex or UPS.
