Rosa "Pearl" Ditto, 91, of Amana, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at Lakeview Village, Amana. Services: 11:30 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church, where friends may visit with the family after 10:30 a.m. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Pearl is survived by her husband, Claire; two daughters, Janet (James) Killey of Roseville, Ill., and Judy (Steve) Anderson of Fairfax; son, John (Tricia) Ditto of Lake Jackson, Texas; eight grandchildren, Bridget (Erik) Wessel, Kevin (Heather) Bloom, Brian (Melissa) Anderson, Emily (James) MacKillop, and Shane, Andrew, Christopher and Caitlin Ditto; and eight great-grandchildren, Aspen, Nathaniel, Kayla and Kyle Bloom, Sophia and Lexi Anderson, and Annabelle and Cael MacKillop.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Virgil Admire.
Pearl was born March 26, 1925, in Media, Ill., the daughter of George and Opal White Admire. She married Claire Ditto on Oct. 25, 1942, in Palmyra, Mo. Pearl retired as a medical receptionist at the Galesburg Clinic.
Pearl was a longtime member of Galesburg Covenant Church and later the Oregon United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and adored spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pearl was a wonderful person who never saw a flaw in anyone. Her children's friends quickly became hers and she lovingly took care of everyone at Lakeview Village.
