Traffic moving again on Interstate 80 after crash involving State Patrol car

UPDATE: Both lanes are moving again after three minor crashes occurred westbound on Interstate 80 west of West Branch Tuesday morning.
State Patrol officials said Lt. Neil Wellner's patrol car was hit a few miles west of mile marker 257 Tuesday morning while Wellner was responding to an accident, but no one was injured.
According to trooper Dan Loussaert, another crash occurred before 9 a.m. near the two others, blocking the left lane.
The scene has since cleared.
Wellner reported black ice was visible on the roadway, and motorists in the area are still advised to proceed with caution.
