Phelps, Davette Yvonne
Davette Yvonne Phelps, 62, died Monday, August 10, 2009, at Virginia Gay Hospital following a sudden illness.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., in Vinton with Rev. Brenda Goodall officiating. Interment will be held at Bear Creek Cemetery north of Vinton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
A memorial fund has been established.
Davette was born April 28, 1947, at Epworth, to Edward and Mildred (Postel) Mahoney.
She is survived by her children Kathy (Randy) Burgess and Melissa (Terry) Mosher, all of Vinton; and Brian (Patricia) Phelps of Grand Junction, Colo.
