The Walk Through -- Half hour to kick, enjoy the game

Hey, everyone.
I'm cranking this up now, but I will have to leave at 11:15 to do radio on WMT with Andy Peterson and Cory Sheets. Looking forward to that.
-- BTN and Dish, still not working it out. If you're old, here's a Kramer vs. Kramer reference.
Here are the pertinent quotages:
Elizabeth Conlisk, BTN Vice President of Communications, University Relations: As of September 14
th
, BTN's distribution agreement with Dish expired despite our best efforts to finalize an agreement. We are disappointed that Dish does not see the value in the network in the same way that so many of their customers do, including Big Ten students, alumni, fans and viewers across the country who continue to pay Dish for a channel they no longer receive.'
Here's Iowa AD Gary Barta: “I was extremely disappointed to learn this morning that an agreement had not been finalized. To be clear, the Big Ten Network is producing live coverage of today's football game at historic Kinnick Stadium and seven other games featuring Big Ten teams, and is making all eight of these games available to millions of fans via hundreds of television providers across the country including, in the state of Iowa, Mediacom, Direct TV, and dozens of other cable television providers.
“The University of Iowa does not have a seat at the negotiation table. We do completely support BTN's efforts and know that an agreement is possible because BTN has successfully reached agreements with all major television providers in the Big Ten geographic footprint except one: Dish Network.
“BTN is currently celebrating its five-year anniversary and has firmly established itself as one of the leading sports television networks in the country.”
Here's the BTN's official statement:
BTN's Message to Dish Network Customers
Despite Big Ten Network's efforts to finalize an agreement, we are disappointed to tell you that Dish Network has decided to drop the Big Ten Network. As you know, BTN has been working around the clock for weeks to try and reach a deal with Dish. They are now unwilling to sign a contract.
Dish customers will miss the rest of the football season on BTN and over 400 Big Ten sporting events. Not only are you missing eight Big Ten games today, but several dozen more this season and over a hundred men's basketball games. It is unfortunate that Dish does not value BTN in the same way that so many of their customers do, including Big Ten students, parents, alumni and fans across the country. Furthermore, DISH customers will continue to pay Dish for a channel they no longer receive.
If Dish won't give you the games you want, others will. To find another BTN provider, go to IWantBTN.com or call 1-855-WANT-B10 (1-855-926-8210) for more information. Stay up to date on the latest developments on BTN's Facebook page and on Twitter (@IWantBTN).
Thank you for your support.
End statement.
This is me now: Iowa fans, you have been unfortunately caught in the crosshairs here, with last week's ISU game and today's UNI game on BTN.
How does it feel? Sucks, doesn't it.
Erik on Twitter said his employer, a small-town bar called Olde Town Tap in Altoona, was convinced by Dish to stick because this would be resolved. It's not and the Olde Town will likely be out a week's worth of revenue today because the corporates couldn't figure this out.
OK, off to radio. BRB.
___________
I'm back.
Iowa QBs on the field sans the TEs. Don't know that that mean, but they've usually warmed up with the TEs.
OK, there are the TEs. Hi, TEs.
The 90-minute clock hasn't started yet.
____________
Oh, I almost forgot.
Sophomore Jordan Canzeri will be in uniform today. He's coming back from the torn ACL he suffered at the end of March during spring practice.
What does this mean? Probably nothing. He is back in contact practice, but he's still working his way back. Still, who knows. Iowa coaches will keep it real here. They will not put a player out there who's not ready to play.
Still think it's a couple weeks, but that's only me thinking. Just keep an eye on it.
__________
I tried to DVR Central Michigan and came up with a volleyball game.
CMU is off this week after falling 41-7 at home to Michigan State last week.
They might even be in Kinnick. Not all of them, but some maybe.
_________
Internet scuttlebut that Iowa safety commit Delano Hill from Cass Tech (Detroit) is visiting Michigan State.
No idea where that goes. You're going to have breakage with a ton of early commits. Slow start probably doesn't help, either.
__________
Mike Meyer from 43, good.
Marshall Koehn, also good.
____________
Starters are the same.
On FB Brad Rogers, he is fine. He was a little banged up during camp, but he also has been beaten out by Mark Weisman. Simple as that.
Rogers has been playing special teams since week 1.
_____________
And Iowa is off to the lockerroom.
Half hour before kick.
Thanks for stopping by. Will have a halftime update and then postgame.
Enjoy the game.
HMB warming up, looking good. I'll bet these people now how to party.
