Combs, Laurita A.
Laurita A. Combs, 90, of Monticello, formerly of Harrison, Ark., died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Silvercrest of Anamosa. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday Nov. 9, at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello, where a Christian funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. The Rev. Paul Baldwin will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Guttenberg.
Laurita was born May 5, 1923, in Spragueville, Iowa, the daughter of August and (Anna) Olsem.
She is survived by seven children: Curtis (Karen) Barnhart of Monticello, Gene Barnhart of Colville, Wash., Dennis Barnhart of Kalispell, Mont., Steven (Kim) Barnhart of Sioux Falls, S.D., Rita Oldfather Kehrle of Montana, Tammy (Sam) Oldfather Coffee of Omaha, Ark., and Kay (Matt) Oldfather Daigle of California; 16 grandchildren; a sister, Irene (Fred) Hoeger of Holy Cross; a brother, Elmer (Wilma) Olsem of Colesburg; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Olsem of Dyersville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; a daughter, Betty Oldfather Imel; one sister, Mildred (Ted) Petsche; and two brothers, Marvin (Betty) Olsem and Arnold (Kathleen) Olsem.
