Shields, Jeanne Marie

Jeanne Marie Shields, 55, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, at her home following various medical conditions. Services: 3 p.m. Saturday at Teahen Funeral Home by Deacon Dan Hoeger. Friends may visit at the funeral home from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery at a later date. 

She is survived by a son, Brandon; her mother, Fern Corrigan of Cedar Rapids; her brothers and sisters, Rae (Tim) Lesmeister of Minnetonka, Minn., Mark A. (Kellie) Corrigan, Dolora (Tobin) Michael, Denise Bates, Loren (Susan) Corrigan, Brian (Kathy) Corrigan, Deborah Corrigan and Alane (Ladd) Wessels, all of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

 Jeanne was preceded in death by her father.

Jeanne was born May 27, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Mark and Fern (McCormick) Corrigan. She graduated from LaSalle High School in 1974 and worked as a nurse's aide for many years.  

Jeanne enjoyed knitting and playing Euchre. She loved spending time with her son, Brandon, her family and her cats.
