Scott William Wigant, 59, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, July 15, 2017, in St. Luke's Hospital. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark's Lutheran Faith and Life by the Rev. Perry Fruhling. A visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home and Tuesday after 9:30 a.m. at the church. Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery in Mechanicsville.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, LeAnn Wigant; his daughters, Elise Wigant of Cedar Rapids and Lindsey Wigant (Eric) of North Liberty; his sisters, Debra (Randy) Hughes of Davenport and Arlene (Gary) Moore of Bourbonnais, Ill.; his brother, Alan (Kris) Wigant of Sumter, S.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Scott was born Aug. 5, 1957, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of William and Norma (Wurster) Wigant. He married LeAnn Hartman on June 22, 1985, in Hiawatha. Scott graduated from North Tama High School in 1975 and attended Vandercook College of Music in Chicago. He was employed with Whirlpool for eight years in Amana and worked 10 years with MCI in Cedar Rapids.
He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Faith and Life and enjoyed fishing, music and spending time with his family.
He was a devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
