Woods, Barbara A.
A graveside service for Barbara A. Woods, 70, of Iowa City, formerly of Washington, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. A time of fellowship will be held following the graveside service at Pizza Hut in Washington. A general memorial fund has been established. Barbara Woods died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from complications of a stroke. Beatty Funeral Home is handling arrangments.
Barbara Anne Woods was born April 13, 1942 in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Esther (Benn) Woods. She graduated from Washington High School and earned her Associate Degree from the University of Iowa. Barbara worked as a project director at NCS in Iowa City, until retiring in 2006. She enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include one brother, Ted and wife Maridee Woods of Washington, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Mary Sue Woods and Wynona Woods of Washington; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceding Barbara in were her parents; three brothers, John Woods, Allen Woods and Rodney Woods; and one sister, Lois Scott.
