McNeill, Peggy
Peggy McNeill, 63, of Garrison, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, following a sudden illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton, with the Rev. Loel Fink officiating. Private committal services will be held at the Garrison Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
A memorial fund has been established.
Peggy was born July 19, 1946, in Cedar Falls, to Cecil and Ruth (Redfearn) Rasmussen. She had resided in Garrison the past 20 years and was employed as the assistant manager of Dollar General in Vinton. Peggy was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Bill (Meggen) McNeill of Vinton; her daughters, Angie (Joe) Graham of Waterloo, Regina Fennern and her special friend, Dustin Maser of Vinton, and Melissa (Nick) Delahoussaye of Story City; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her parents, Cecil and Ruth Rasmussen of Traer; and a very special friend, Lynn Henkle.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dee Kisner.
