JAMES R. PRECUP

James R. Precup, 73, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and is now dancing with Jesus. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at Cedar Rapids Alliance Church conducted by Pastor Todd Hart. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion.
Jim was born Nov. 7, 1944, in Aurora, Ill., the son of George and Emily (Maytas) Precup. He served in the United States Navy and later worked at General Mills and Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Jim and Mary Cunningham were united in marriage on April 20, 1985, in Mound, Minn. Jim is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Leanna, Gregory, Daniel and Christopher; and multiple grandchildren and extended family. Jim was a spirit-filled man of God who strove to serve the King and is now in the presence of Jesus.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Cedar Rapids Alliance Church in Jim's memory.
