Myers, Ronald R.67
Ronald R. Myers, 67, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are his brothers, Wayne Myers and wife Jeanne of Cedar Rapids, Doug Myers of Blairstown, and Dave Myers of Hiawatha; nieces and nephews, Michelle, William, Shawn, Doug Jr., Stacey, Steve and Kathy; many great-nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Aries.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved dog, Rio.
Ronald Ray Myers was born July 1, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Raymond E. and Ruth K. (Grabau) Myers. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed in maintenance at Hunter's Specialties. Ron enjoyed racing, both drag racing and stock car racing, and at one point was a driver for a drag car. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
