Zobac, Karl F.
Karl F. Zobac, 58, of Glendale, Ariz., passed away Aug. 12, 2009. Karl met his Creator at Thunderbird Hospice of the Valley care unit in Glendale.
Karl leaves behind his wife, Mary; two daughters, Angela Olen and Amanda Braun, and their husbands, Milton Wings Olen and Charles Braun; one granddaughter, Zoe Braun; and three sisters, Patricia Steinberg, Kay Umberson and Karen Wilkerson.
Karl was born and raised in Cedar Rapids and graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College. He then owned and operated Zobac Construction Co. in Cedar Rapids from 1972-1986. Karl later moved with his family to Glendale, Ariz., where he started Midway General Construction.
Karl will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all of his family and friends.
There will be a Czechoslovakian memorial service for family and friends Saturday, Sept. 26, at Karl's home.
