Pugh, Margaret Hawkins
Margaret Hawkins Pugh, 85, of Oak Park Heights, Minn., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died April 21, 2010, at Comforts of Home in Hudson, Wis. Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Boutwells Landing Chapel, Oak Park Heights. Burial will take place at a later date. Margaret's body was donated to the University of Minnesota Medical School.
Survivors include her husband, Warren; children, David Pugh, Sara Handrahan and Stephen Pugh; sister, Dorothy Heersma; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Laura Hawkins.
Margaret graduated from McKinley High School in 1943 and Coe College in 1949. She was a member of Kappa Delta sorority, past president of Coe College Alumni Association and member of PEO and Beta Sigma Phi. She retired in 1987 as controller of the Milwaukee County Performing Arts Center and was a member of the Industrial Advisory committee of the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
She was a volunteer librarian, Girl Scout leader and Sunday school teacher.
