Britney J. Hudson of Riverside went to visit the Lord on June 7, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a two-year battle with cancer.
Britney Jean Hudson was born Dec. 20, 1988, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Teresa Holderness and Ray Hudson. Britney was raised in South English and attended English Valley Schools and Kirkwood Community College. Most recently, Britney worked at Subway in Riverside and for It Works!
Britney was very outgoing. She enjoyed life. Britney's friends and family meant the world to her.
She is survived by her mom, Teresa (Gary) Young; her birth father, Ray Hudson; her dad, John Holeton; siblings, Dustin (Erica) Hudson, Brandon Hudson, Ella Young, Angel (Chris) Hunziker, Mike (Abie) Holeton, Chevy (Leanna) Holeton and Arron (Ayla) Holeton; grandmother, Barbara Holderness; and nieces and nephews, Lucas, Gracie, Severin, Kaylyn and Kia.
Britney was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Louis Holdnerness and Vernon Hudson; and grandmother, Lorna Martin.
A celebration of life, potluck lunch and get-together will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. June 12 at the Kalona Park.
