Lusk, Sharon
Sharon Lusk, 49, of Marion, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Celebration of Life: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Rick Gail. Casual dress is requested. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and also one hour before the service on Tuesday. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her mother, Minnie Lockamy of Waynesville, Mo.; two sons, Ken (Becca) Lusk and David (Cassandra) Lusk, and two daughters, Michelle (Andrew Cross) Lusk and Marcinda Lusk, all of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Daphne Wheeler of Cedar Rapids, Ingrid Lockamy of Marion and Debra Lockamy of Waynesville, Mo.; and six grandchildren, Lynsie, Ravyn, Teygan, Nevaeh, Ashley and Braydon.
Sharon was born July 4, 1961, in Clinton, N.C., the daughter of Curlie and Minnie (Bassett) Lockamy. She was married to Allen Lusk. Sharon worked at Walmart on Blairs Ferry Road. She was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma over nine years ago, but was always smiling no matter how bad her day. Her love and spirit will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Curlie; and the family dog, Dee.
A very special thank you to the wonderful people at Walmart, the hospice house, Darlene Schmitt at the Free Clinic, and Dr. Lynk at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
A memorial fund has been established.
