Wearing white after Labor Day is optional at Penn State this football season
Mike Hlas Jul. 19, 2010 11:47 am
The Penn State tradition of all its fans wearing white for a home football game has been suspended for a year.
The reason: The home schedule isn't good enough. There isn't an obvious choice for what they call their "White House" game. So this year, no such game.
Its home schedule in 2010: Youngstown State, Kent State, Temple, Illinois, Northwestern and Michigan State.
This is how Michigan has fallen. No "White House" for the Wolverines.
Maybe the Nittanies will break out the white on Nov. 27 if they're playing for a league-title in the season-finale against Michigan State. But that would mean that won at either Iowa or Ohio State, if not both.

Penn State's last White House game was against Iowa last season, and the Nittany Lions lost.
Colors are welcome this season
