Bernie Sanders will work for stronger middle class

To the editor:
I appreciate Hillary Clinton and her service. She possesses more experience than most in the presidential field. She has served as a First Lady, senator and cabinet member. For many people that is enough to convince them that she has earned the opportunity. That said, the most important question that a national leader has to answer is what she or he would do with the opportunity to lead.
This is where I solidly align with Sen. Bernie Sanders. Since 1990, Sanders has fought the status quo in D.C. and steadily, consistently focused on a higher minimum wage, better regulation of Wall Street, fought against unnecessary wars like Iraq, voted for early childhood education, worked toward a single-payer health care system, helped veterans receive better care and protected the workers' rights regardless of gender, race, or sexual preference.
Often he's succeeded, having introduced or amended many important bills, even when Congress has become more polarized. His vision is a stronger middle class funded by everyone paying their fair share, particularly the wealthiest 10 percent who hold more wealth than 76 percent of all Americans. He also is for clean energy, a common-sense approach to foreign policy and lowering the inequalities that lead to higher incarceration rates for some.
In 2008, I wished for Hope and Change. In 2016, I'll be caucusing for Sanders, who I believe when he tells us, he can't do it without our help.
