Netolicky Jr., Jerry Ray
Jerry Ray Netolicky Jr., 91, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be noon Saturday, June 2, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Burial will follow in Czech National Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before services Saturday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.
Jerry was born Dec. 7, 1920, on the country farm near Solon. He graduated from Sulek Country School in Solon. Jerry married Doris Becicka on March 18, 1947, in Ely. He worked at the former Wilson & Co. for 37 years and retired from Farmstead Foods in April 1983.
Jerry was a member of CSA Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, polka dancing, and going fishing.
Jerry is survived by his nephews, Lee Kalous (Donna Heidt), Ken (Patty) Kalous and Duane (Carol) Kalous; as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; a brother, Ivan Netolicky; and a sister, Helen Kalous.
