LOREN "TOOTIE" WESTFALL

Loren J. "Tootie" Westfall, 78, of Lone Tree, passed away in his home surrounded by family on Saturday, March 28, 2015. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, at Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral
and Cremation Services in Lone Tree. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery. Following the services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Lone Tree American Legion Post 457. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 31, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
A memorial fund has been established for the Lone Tree Fire and Rescue in Loren's name.

Loren James "Tootie" Westfall was born June 8, 1936, in Conesville, Iowa, the son of Steyn and Dorothy (Rife) Westfall. Loren farmed his whole life – corn, beans, cattle and hogs.
He was a member of the American Legion in Lone Tree and the Red Carpet Club. He also was a diehard Hawkeye fan – football and basketball, especially women's basketball, and enjoyed gardening, four wheeling, shooting groundhogs, coin collecting, was an avid history buff, International Farmall collector, red tractors and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
Loren will be deeply missed by his niece, Debra Warden and husband James of Lone Tree; two grandnieces, Jennifer Kiene and husband Brett of Riverside and Jessica Walmsley and husband Chris of Lone Tree; and one great-grandnephew, Cole Walmsley.
Loren was preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, Gene Westfall, Eldon Westfall, Janet Rourke and Marilyn Spears.
