Schick, Carl Frederick
Carl Frederick Schick passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Winneshiek Medical Center Hospice in Decorah at the age of 82. A memorial visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 14, at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah. A private family inurnment will be at a later date at Lutheran Cemetery in Decorah.
Carl will be missed by his loving wife, Shirley, of 56 years; his 10 children, Susan (Rodney) of Ridgeway, Michael (Jackie) of Rochester, Minn., Carl Jr. of Owatonna, Minn., Gary (Jean) of Rushford, Minn., Steven (Diane) of Ridgeway, David (Michelle) of Eyota, Minn., John (Jackie) of Dover, Minn., Mary (Steve) of Chatfield, Minn., Nancy (Scott) of Winona, Minn., and Rosemarie (Andrew) of Nevada, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Barkdoll of La Mesa, Calif.; and one sister-in-law, Lucille Schick of Davis, Calif.
