On the record: Oral histories at Iowa institutions

Understanding personal stories of conflict, immigration, and gender issues will be the topic of discussion during a special panel presentation on Tuesday, April 24, at Grinnell, IA.
This free two-hour program, On the Record: Oral Histories at Iowa Institutions features four speakers from Iowa's historical, cultural and educational organizations.
Kären Mason, curator of the Iowa Women's Archives; Bob Neymeyer, historian at the Grout Museum in Waterloo; Rosie Johnston from the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library in Cedar Rapids and recent Grinnell graduate Brita Higgins will discuss their own experiences recording oral histories in the field and consider the wealth of interviews housed in Iowa collections. Todd Armstrong, professor of Russian at Grinnell College will moderate.
