NUNS ON THE BUS:

PAST DISCOVERED:
State archaeologists are busy excavating a portion of an Iowa City park. The project began after workers discovered possible artifacts. Since residents in the area of Hubbard Park were historically less affluent, artifacts are more difficult to find. Those unearthed in Iowa City may be the result of an 1851 flood.

ANOTHER STEP FORWARD:
The Iowa Board of Regents has approved schematic designs, project descriptions and a budget for the construction of a new College of Pharmacy on the University of Iowa campus. Plans include demolition of the 1961 building and Quadrangle Residence Hall, and partial remodeling of the 1996 south tower. The $96.3 million price tag is split between state appropriations and university contributions and investments, and construction is scheduled for 2016.
