Ward, Teresa L. (McCarthy)
Teresa L. (McCarthy) Ward, 61, of London, England, died at the Royal Free Hospital on Feb. 3, 2013. A private service was held in Kentish Town, London, on Feb. 14.
Teresa was the daughter of Robert E. and Gloria M. (Rose) McCarthy. She was born Oct. 9, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She married Michael W. Ward on May 20, 1978. Teresa and Michael were worldwide travelers. Teresa was also a very talented artist. Upon retirement, she enjoyed spending many hours in her rooftop garden.
Teresa is survived by her husband, Michael; her mother, Gloria M. McCarthy, and sisters, Margaret (Douglas) Kimball and Patricia (Michael) McCarthy-Kimball, all of Cedar Rapids, and Janet McCarthy (John Evans) of Minneapolis; uncle, Leo T. (Alice) McCarthy; seven nephews and nieces and spouses; and six grandnephews.
A memorial in Teresa's name is being planned in May in Cedar Rapids.
