Birthday Parade for 104 and 105 Years Old: Saturday, April 24, 2 p.m.
Family and friends are celebrating the birthdays of Veva Jenn and Mary Hurt with a birthday
parade – all are invited to join in the festivities.
Meet at the Hills ballpark between 1:45 and 2 p.m. to line up. Signs and decorated vehicles encouraged! There will be a special mailbox at the ballpark to drop off cards or notes for the two as well. (In case of rain, the parade will be the following Saturday.) Or send cards by mail: Veva Jenn, 5515 Observatory Ave. SW, Riverside, IA 52327; and Mary Hurt, P.O. Box 220, Hills, IA 52235. Veva (above left) turns 105 on April 23 and Mary (above right) turns 104 on May 5. They are second cousins.
