Stellmach not afraid to fight for community
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I am proud to support John Stellmach in the June 8 Democratic primary race unfolding in House District 30. I am supporting Stellmach because I think it is time that we have a Democrat in Des Moines who is not afraid to stand up for his local community when it is time for change.
Stellmach is a community leader and has served the University of Iowa workers as the president of the AFSCME union local.
Stellmach is seeking election as a state representative to fight for our workers and to fix our fractured health care system. All we get now is excuses on why the Democrats cannot pass important legislation with majorities in the House and Senate and a Democratic governor.
Stellmach will fight for important legislation that will protect Iowa's work force and prepare Iowa for the future, not keep us locked in the past. He is a good Democrat who will fight for good Democratic values, not make excuses for failures.
