Tuesday video -- 'What can anyone say right now?'
Marc Morehouse
Nov. 8, 2011 3:56 pm
First question was about Penn State.
Kirk Ferentz sidestepped the question, but here's a sample of what Ferentz has said about PSU coach Joe Paterno in the past (this is from a 2003 story about Paterno feeling heat in Happy Valley): "If you can (plan your exit as a coach), then you're lucky," Ferentz said. "If you can leave on your own terms, it's a great, great thing.
"If anybody in this game deserves that, it's coach Paterno. Not only for what he has meant to this sport, but what he's meant to intercollegiate athletics and Penn State University. Growing up in that part of the country, I'm well aware of that. He's been a giant figure in all of sports, not just collegiate sports."
Tuesday, this was it: "I've really been more focused on what we're doing here, getting through the weekend and turning our sights to Michigan State. That's where my thoughts have been.
"The only thing I can really say is what can anyone say right now."
Injuries, captains, Michigan and Michigan State.

Penn State, FB Brad Rogers, different week defensively than last and Marcus Coker.
MSU juice, Kirk Cousins, MSU running game, MSU schedules.
DT Tom Nardo back. DT Carl Davis might play. DE Joe Forgy suddenly becomes important. The senior class story. Bend, don't break. The blitzes on the goal line and a snide comment to the ethereal experts when he probably just should've said me. I'm guessing that one was mine.
Challenges every week. Coker. Mika'il McCall explanation. That's worth tuning into.
Here's the transcript from the main news conference:
Lots of sighs and fidgets today. Big game, November, no one really wants to be here.
