Campbell, Jamison M. 'Jamie'
Jamison M. “Jamie” Campbell, 47, of Cedar Rapids, passed away very unexpectedly early Saturday morning, March 3, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Inurnment will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving to honor his memory include his children, a son, Justin Hartgrave and his daughter Natalie; a daughter, Leaha Campbell; a brother, Donald (Nettie) Campbell (Denver, Colo.); sister, Debra (John) Hankins and their son, Joey; nephew, Steve (Jessica) Kinney and their children, Kaylin, Alysin and Rhylin; nephew, Mitch Kinney and his daughter, Mallori; aunt, Judith Matias; uncle, Lester Hach (Wisconsin); aunt, Patrica Jensen (Wisconsin); and a faithful companion, “Turk.”
Jamie was born June 9, 1964. He was a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1982. He was a gifted musician and had a strong passion for entertaining his friends and family that shined through his music. And the best family handyman.
His kind and gentle nature will be remembered daily as we look at his beautiful children. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, uncle, granduncle and a buddy to everybody.
We miss him tremendously and will love him forever.
A memorial fund has been established.
