Ellison, Wilbur (Bill) Eugene
Wilbur (Bill) Eugene Ellison, 82, died Wednesday Jan. 2, 2013, in Maquoketa, Iowa.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. Pastor T.N. Taylor will officiate at the service. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Campbell Cemetery in Bertram, Iowa. Thoughts, memories and condolences may be left at .
Surviving are his children, Mike of Onslow, Kevin (Sue) of Wyoming, Carol Nolan of Marion, and Denise Hoffman of South Carolina; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Vivian Park of Cedar Rapids; and two brothers, Donald (Charlene) of Morley, and Orpha of Marion. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; two daughters, Jolene and Lillian Ellison; two brothers, Walter and George; and a sister, Myrtle.
Wilbur Eugene Ellison was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Mechanicsville, Iowa. He was the son of Ogal and Bertha Coster Ellison. Bill and Betty Blythe were united in marriage in June of 1950. Bill worked for Swiss Valley Creamery in Anamosa, Monticello, and Hopkinton for more than 40 years. Bill was a member of the Oxford Junction Assembly of God Church.
