Carpenter, Evelyn C.
Evelyn C. Carpenter, 99, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Summit Pointe in Marion. A private memorial service will be at a later date.
Survivors include daughters, Carol Mann of Marion and Susan Carpenter (David Glidden) of Riverside, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Casey Mann of Littleton, Colo., Heather Mann of Boulder, Colo., and Anna and Claire Glidden of Riverside, Calif.
Evelyn Caroline Schultz was born June 21, 1914, in Plum City, Wis., the daughter of Frank and Eva (Brunig) Schultz. On April 17, 1943, she married Roscoe W. Carpenter in Minneapolis. Evelyn previously worked at the University of Minnesota and Knox Reeves Advertising in Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1976.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Memory Care staff at Summit Pointe and Iowa Hospice for their compassionate care.
Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
