Custer Jr., Howard W.
Howard W. Custer Jr., 78, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at the Davis County Hospital, Bloomfield, following a short illness. Services will be 11a.m. Saturday at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine.
Howard was born July 16, 1931, to Howard Custer and Caroline Kubik, in Belle Plaine, where he attended school.
Survivors include two brothers, Dale (Lucinda) Custer of Leander, Texas and James Custer of Springfield, Ill.; sister, Carol Guge of Cedar Rapids; and sister-in-law, Joanne Custer of Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Joe Kubik, stepfather; Richard Custer, brother; and Jerry Guge, his brother-in-law.
A memorial fund has been established.
