Dochterman, Myra Caroline
CEDAR RAPIDS - Myra Caroline Dochterman, 90, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Ark. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Myra is survived by her husband, William Paul Dochterman; two sons, William Bruce Dochterman and wife Joanne of Swisher and Larry August Dochterman and wife Barbara of Marengo, Ill.; three daughters, Rose Ann Rich of Anamosa, Bernieta May Wells and husband Luke of Anamosa and Evelyn Juil Semerad and husband Dennis of Quincy, Ill.; and a brother, Lester Malottki and wife Diane of Hot Springs Village, Ark. Myra is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; a sister, Myrta McComb; three infant brothers; and a daughter-in-law, Judy Dochterman.
She was born Dec. 31, 1919, in Lowden, Iowa, to August Malottki and Freida Mensing Malottki. Myra was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Horseshoe Bend. She had served as president of Christian Women, president and secretary of the Shepherd's Guild and was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
