Fishell, Phillip J.
Phillip J. Fishell, 62, of 3229 Fishel Rd., Marion, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, in his home. Services, with military honors, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Lafayette Cemetery. Visitation will be at the chapel from noon to service time on Monday. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Pam; their children, Phillip Jr. (Aimee) of Atkins, Chad, with the U.S. Navy in San Diego, Calif., Jaime (Tim) Whitehead of Center Point, Alicia (Ryan) Porter of Center Point, Jacob (Erin) of Cedar Rapids, Joseph (Michaela) of Cedar Rapids and Caleb (Natalie), with the U.S. Air Force in Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Sara (Merrill) Strand of Marion and Amy (Nick) Caves of Alburnett; brother, Russell Fishell Jr. of Cedar Rapids; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Terry and Robert.
Phillip was born Feb. 16, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, to Russell and Clarissa Knowles Fishell. He married Pam Cowell on Feb. 16, 1973, in Toddville. He was employed as an electrician for American Profol Inc. He served with the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. He was a member of River of Life Ministries, IBEW Union 51 and Hanford American Legion Post 5. He enjoyed restoring old cars, remote control model airplanes and cars, fishing, camping, making family videos, and spending time with his family.
Military honors provided by Hanford American Legion Post 5.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
