Behan, Francis 'Bud'
Francis "Bud" Behan, 82, of Coralville, passed away peacefully in his home on Sept. 23, 2009, after a long illness.
Francis was born April 5, 1927, in Clinton County, Iowa, the son of Agnes and Francis Behan. He married Mary Jane Eastman in Moline, Ill., in 1978. His body has been donated to the University of Iowa College of Medicine. Per Bud's request, no services will be held.
Francis attended grade school in Clinton County and graduated from Sabula High School. He served in the Navy during World War II aboard the battleship Mississippi in the South Pacific. Bud was present at the peace signing in Tokyo Bay. He managed stores for the National Tea Co. for some years. Bud was employed as a plumber in Clinton and had owned and operated a number of businesses in the city of Clinton.
He is survived by one stepson, Jon Eastman of Coralville; sons, Michael Behan and David Behan of Sabula; and his daughter, Pamela Wright of Savanna, Ill.
