Welch, Ada Lucille
CEDAR RAPIDS - Ada Lucille Welch, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died at Dennis and Donnis Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, by the Rev. Mark Thomas of Central Assembly of God. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her children, Sandra (Mark) Dingman of Marion and Robert Welch of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carroll; and two grandchildren.
Ada was born Dec. 8, 1923, in Wheeler County, Texas, to Malcome and Myrtle Elliott. She married Carroll B. Welch on Oct. 10, 1949, in Clovis, N.M. Ada was a day care provider for many years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of Central Assembly of God.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
