Laurence "Larry" Irving Beckett, 95, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at First Presbyterian Church in Marion. A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery,
Survivors include his son, Mark (Linda) Beckett of Cedar Rapids; granddaughter, Chelsea Lee of Los Angeles; sister, Mary Woods; Katie's mother, Julie Beckett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; granddaughter, Katie Beckett; parents; two brothers, Bill and George Beckett; and brother-in-law, John Woods.
